Cassie Stajich is running for the US House of Representatives in Michigan’s Congressional District 6.  For the past 25 years  Cassie has  worked in the field of social work helping people and families connect with each other and thrive.  Cassie has had a front row seat to how the policies and laws of our country impact every day people.  She has witnessed how gaps in our social support system create additional stress and barriers to healthy and productive lifestyles.  She has advocated for the needs of others across multiple systems including family and probate court, medical and psychiatric settings, insurance companies, and department of human services.  Cassie welcomes the opportunity to work together to close those gaps in our social safety net to improve day to day life for our district.  She has a plan.

First: Impeach, convict, remove, and then contain Donald Trump and his entire cabinet. Every day that passes without the executive being held accountable brings more danger to the American people.  If we ignore the situation and wait for it to pass, we are permanently changing the culture of government to make ongoing corruption, lying, and abuse of power the norm.  We cannot sit by and watch that happen.  That places us all in danger.

 

Second: Hold those accountable who participated in covering up or enabling the Executive.  Reverse the damage created to institutions that we rely on for health and safety. Close all loopholes in the tax code, campaign finance, and laws that allowed power and money to corrupt our government.  Overturn Citizen’s United and abolish ICE.  Stop the flow of money to other countries to support conflict, violence, regime change, and war.  Repair our reputation on the world stage by renewing funding for USAID and supporting our allies.

Third: Introduce progressive policies that help everyone.  Medicare for All, universal child care, combat climate change through environmental protections, raise the minimum wage, close the gap between workers and CEO’s, tax the rich so they are paying their fair share, and streamline our immigration system to make it safer and user friendly.

We can have all of these things, but only if we stick together and demand it.   Cassie does not take money from corporations or political PAC's and commits to staying dedicated to her consituants without outside influence.  Please support Cassie in her effort to support our district.  Let’s get it done!
